Panama Canal
Cruise through an engineering marvel on the Panama Canal. Things to Know
Cruise season for the Panama Canal tend to last throughout the fall, winter and spring and go back and forth between locations like Los Angeles and San Diego on the Pacific and fort Lauderdale and Miami on the Atlantic side.
Repositioning cruises through the Panama Canal are typically at the end of April and end of September. Cruises may reposition to Alaska or the Caribbean and may provide some longer duration cruises – Seattle in the fall, Fort Lauderdale or Miami in the spring. These cruises still offer the options of disembarkation in L.A. or San Diego.
Panama: Be prepared for a day outside. The canal is so fascinating many guests stay on the deck for the whole transit!
South America
South America offers a mix of cosmopolitan cities like Rio de Janeiro and Lima as well as the enchantment of wilderness and river villages along the Amazon River and jungles. Make sure to add a shore excursion to Machu Picchu and explore the ruins of this ancient city. Sail down to the southernmost islands of South America to Tierra del Fuego and be amazed by the otherworldly coastline of Cape Horn. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, legendary Antarctica lies just beyond the most southerly parts of South America and promises a memorable trip!

South American cruises generally have the same cruising season as the Panama Canal (fall, winter, and spring).
Some itineraries include the Amazon, which is on most people’s “bucket list” and tend to sell out quickly!
